Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin are 2026 FIA WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONS.

Evans become the first Welsh world champion and the first British world champion since Richard Burns in 2001.

“It has not sunk in just yet. I was quite sure it was over. I threw everything at it. I feel for Oliver. I have a lot of people to thank,” said Evans.

“I can't believe it. It is never over until its over,” said co-driver Scott Martin.

Sébastien Ogier Time: 5:08.5
The outgoing world champion appears to have backed off in here as he comes through 14.3sec slower. It's a likely P2 overall here.

“It was a nice era. I'm not so emotional it was amazing car but not the peak of what we reached in my era.”
Event #647
Sami Pajari Time: 4:57.7
Pajari is 3.3sec slower then Neuville but 2.3sec quicker than Evans. An incredible season for Pajari to fight for the title in his second full Rally1 season. It is a likely P3 here.

“I gave absolutely everything on that last stage. I tried to maximise this rally and the chapter with these cars. I have been super lucky to be in a position to drive these cars. We have had quite a nice season no matter how it ends up. Nine podiums and three wins and stage wins every rally after Monte Carlo. We have come a long way. We are not giving up. Let's see what the future brings us.”
Event #647
Stage Time: 5L01.9
The Hyundai driver completes 7.7sec slower than Neuville. Fourmaux has been Hyundai's best performer this year and has been super unlucky not to claim a maiden WRC win this year. It will come surely in the future.

“It has been a good four seasons in Rally1. I have been learning a lot. I did not get what I wanted, my first win. I will always remember Saudi last year. With no win and to be close to everyone shows how well we have gone. Thanks for the team for the last two years. We will see for the future,” said an emotional Fourmaux.
Event #647
Elfyn Evans Time: 4:59.8
Evans completes and is 5.6sec slower than Neuville.

Will this be enough to beat Solberg to win the title?

“I'm pretty sure it won't be enough. I'm pretty sure we overdrove. I'm not giving up but I'm being honest. It seems like we are back in the same situation.”

A standout season that has included two incredible wins comes to an end for the Japanese driver. Katsuta completes the final stage 7.5sec slower than Neuville. This run from Thierry Neuville has been epic.

“We had some nice moments this year. I must say a huge thanks to the whole team. This weekend was not my weekend. Both Elfyn and Oliver deserve the title.”
Event #647
Jon Armstrong Time: 5:13.6
Armstrong is through and that is his rookie season at the WRC's top level complete. He has shown some great speed at times this year. It looks like a personal best P7 finish in the season finale.

“It has been good to have a clean weekend and the strongest result we have had so far. It has not been and easy year. This was a rally to show we can build a weekend. Big thanks to M-Sport, Jon Coyne and Motorsport Ireland and co-driver Shane.”
Event #647
Thierry Neuville Time: 4:54.2
Neuville completes the stage with a time 14.4sec quicker than Sesks.

It is a rally of what could have been for the 2024 world champion who led at the end of Friday before crashing out on Saturday.

“I don't know what to say. Super disappointed for the weekend. It is over. It has been very tough. I need a little break. Thank you to the team they did amazing. I think we should be there next year but I don't know how and when. I'm sure we will find some opportunities with Hyundai.”

INCREDIBLE. That could be the drive the goes a long way to sealing the title. Solberg is third fastest, 0.4sec slower than Pajari. He continues to lead Super Sunday.

Solberg is only ONE point behind Evans in the championship after Evans's puncture cost the Welshman provisional two Super Sunday points.
“Wow so easy,” he says sarcastically when he is told that if he beats Evans in the Power Stage that he will be world champion.

Neuville wins SS15 as Solberg maintains Super Sunday lead
Hyundai's Thierry Neuville wins SS15 by 0.9sec from Toyota's Takamoto Katsuta with championship leader Elfyn Evans, third fastest.

The sandy stage quickly deteriorated which meant the later runners struggled for speed.

Solberg continues to lead Super Sunday, with a margin of 7.9sec over Adrien Fourmaux. Evans is 12.0sec behind in P4.

As it stands there is no change in the championship standings. Evans leads by THREE points over Solberg. There are two stages remaining! Could this get any more tense?
Overall Standings after SS15/SS17
Event #647
Oliver Solberg Time: 5:05.9
Solberg is super committed and comes through 3.9sec slower than Neuville, who takes the stage win. Solberg crucially continues to lead Super Sunday by 7.9sec with Evans in P4.

“Tricky stage. First time ever for me doing this, not easy, but good fun. Seems like it's getting slower and slower, more rutted. We have to do our best today and for Power Stage I hope it's not too rutted the further back we go. I'm not the one stressed, Elfyn is. I just need to enjoy.”

Event #647
Sébastien Ogier Time: 5:11.5
Ogier is 9.5sec slower than Neuville!

“It's not a surprise, never really liked this stage and it's not gonna change today. I just want to be safe because i'm not in any fights, the rest is just the consequence of that.”

Event #647
Sami Pajari Time: 5:07.2
Pajari is 5.2sec slower than Neuville's pace and he drops a Super Sunday spot to Fourmuax. Pajari is massively surprised by his time.

“Really? Okay. That's quite interesting. I had quite a nice run, actually enjoyed it. We just need to keep going and do what we can.”
Event #647
Adrien Fourmaux Time: 5:04.6
Fourmaux is slower than Evans by 0.7sec! The stage does appear to be deteriorating.

“It's a very sandy stage. Always nice to see the downhill and sea in the background, but no time to enjoy that, enjoy the driving instead. A clean stage from me. Enjoying the last kilometres in this car.”

Event #647
Elfyn Evans Time: 5:03.9
The championship leader is through but he's dropped 1.9sec to Neuville! Are the stage conditions getting worse here?

Event #647
Takamoto Katsuta Time: 5:02.9

Event #647
Jon Armstrong Time: 5:17.0
Armstrong goes second fastest so far, 15.0sec slower than Neuville.

“Obviously we knew that Thierry was gonna go fast because he's won a few rallies in this stage. Obviously very sandy and where we can improve is to be more efficient in the slow corners. It'll be very rutted in the second pass. Nice to finish on the beach.”

Event #647
Josh McErlean Time: 5:17.9
The M-Sport-Ford driver seems to be back up to speed after issues in the previous stage.

“Obviously the team did a big job yesterday to repair the car. We got some alarms on the dash in the first stage and some smoke came into the cockpit. We decided to stop but it seems to be fixed now, so everything ok.”
Event #647
Thierry Neuville Time: 5:02.0
Neuville is 15.1sec faster than Sesks which highlights the cleaning effect.

“Today was about getting to the finish and having some fun in that stage. I have never been that much all over the place. I was enjoying it. Let's see what we can do on the Power Stage and bring a bad season to an end.”
Event #647
Mārtiņš Sesks Time: 5:17.1
The M-Sport-Ford driver is first to complete.

“Maybe this one wasn't too bad. It is sandy and slippery but it was quite clean. It will be quite rutted I guess. for the second pass. I have only done this stage in a Rally4 car before I remember the second pass it was tough to get up the hill.”

Solberg has a clear target in mind for today; to take a maximum 10 Super Sunday and Wolf Power Stage points. The Toyota driver has taken 10 points on Sunday four times already this year. Solberg took nine points on Sunday in the last three events.

“I've said all weekend. I can only do the best I can and do everything I can.

“But the objective is clear, to take 10 points and after the Power Stage, we will see what happens.
